Free exhibition opens 9-17th May 2026, 11-5pm
There’ll also be daily demonstrations and bookable workshops so you can take part in the process of working with clay as well as enjoying the work of our exhibiting potters.
There are 2 other Artweeks venues open in King Sutton, a group exhibition in the church (site 234) and silversmith Lucy Sylvester on Wales Street (site 236) both just a few minutes walk away

Intro to Throwing
£65pp 2 hour session (Max 2 people per session)
Intro to Throwing on the Potter’s Wheel
A 2 hour workshop where you’ll learn to centre clay, open out & pull up the walls of your pots. Select 2 of your finished pots to keep and have glazed in a colour of your choice.
Pots will be ready for collection 6 weeks after your session (or can be shipped with additional postage charge) If you want to keep more, extra pots can be fired for £8 per pot.
Requires 2 people to run, if you’re a solo potter please do still enquire we can often find throwing buddies.

Make a Seed Head Garden Ornament £65pp (max 3 people per session)
Choose an initial pod shape created by workshop leader Ariana Orsi, and add details like petals, ridges, surface textures & piercings to create your very own flower/seed head garden ornament.
Add coloured slips & oxides and leave your sculpture here to dry & be fired.
If desired your finished piece will be over-glazed in a colour of your choosing and fitted with a metal stake. They’ll be ready for collection approx 6 weeks after your session, or they can be shipped with an additional charge to cover postage.

Slip Decorating using Paper Resists £65 pp (max 3 people)
In this 2 hour workshop you will use coloured slips to decorate a bowl and/or plate using a paper resist technique, where paper shapes are adhered to the surface of the clay and used to resist the slip or glaze.
Your finished masterpieces will then be clear glazed and fired. Pots will be ready for collection in approximately 6 weeks or can be shipped with an extra charge for postage.
Minimum of 2 people needed to run the workshop. Maximum 4 people.

Make your own Berry Bowl
£65pp (max 3 people)
In this two hour workshop you’ll be given a hand thrown, leather hard bowl and learn how to pierce, carve and cut away elements to turn it into a berry bowl, perfect for washing your strawberries in. You can choose to make a pattern by piercing holes or by cutting away larger designs; carve the surface, add feet and handles, apply oxides or slips to add some colour if desired.
you will leave your bowl here to be over-glazed and fired, ready for collection approximately 6 weeks after your session, alternatively pots can be shipped to you with additional cost for postage.

Decorate a cute animal ceramic pot
£65pp max 3 people
Join Sophie Nicholls for a 2 hour underglaze decoration workshop. Choose from a selection of Sophie’s handmade ceramic animals & use underglazes to make it your very own piece – from bold patterns to cute character designs – let your imagination go wild! Sophie will guide you through the best ways to apply the underglaze to get the finish you desire, how to mask, get even coverage, blend & build depth and lastly apply the clear glaze top coat to make your paint work pop!
